One of the top administrators in the School District of Beloit is leaving the district before the start of the next school year.

Executive Director of School Leadership Peggy Muehlenkamp notified the district on July 23 of her resignation, which will be effective August 7.

She oversaw the district’s curriculum and building principals.

The previous superintendent Dr. Stanley Munro hired Muehlenkamp last summer to fill one of three executive director positions who report directly to the superintendent in the district’s organizational chart.

She was one of a handful of cabinet members who filed a formal complaint against Dr. Munro in the days leading up to his resignation last January.

Dr. Daniel Keyser started as the district’s new interim superintendent on July 1.

Prior to coming to Beloit, Muehlenkamp previously served as Assistant Director of Professional Development in the School District of Janesville.
