traxler-trunk-or-treat

The City of Janesville is moving forward with plans for socially distant Halloween events.

The recreation division will be hosting “Twilight at Traxler Park” and “Traxler Trunk or Treat” in the place of its usual Enchanted Forest and Hollywood Hayride activities.

Recreation Director Shelly Slapak said they still need more businesses and organizations to sign up for the October 18 event, so they extended the registration deadline.

Participating groups will decorate their vehicles and park around the Traxler Park loop to hand out candy to kids in their vehicles as they drive-through the park.

Slapak felt it was important to still hold some type of Halloween event to help the community come together while still prioritizing safety.

All of the Traxler Park activities will be free to the public.
