The Town of Beloit Fire Department is adding more personnel to their station. Deputy Chief Brian Snyder says they received authorization to increase their baseline amount of full-time firefighters from 13 to 15. Snyder mentions there is need for more staff as call volumes steadily increase every year. He says they will train, but it takes more than that to qualify. Candidates must have a number of basic certifications besides receiving training from the fire department.
