Janesville is reminding its residents it offers a rebate program for those helping to conserve water.

Water Utility Superintendent Craig Theisenhusen says they want to continue to be stewards of the environment, and water is a renewable resource but not an infinite resource.

Theisenhusen says conserving water is good for not only the environment, but also for homeowner’s pocket books.

Theisenhusen says they offers homeowners with rebates up to $100 for toilets and other water fixtures which meet the EPA WaterSense’s qualifications.

A list of eligibility requirements and a submission form are available on the city’s website.
