Janesville police arrest two men for child porn possession in consecutive days.

18-year-old Nathaniel Rapson was arrested Friday and 25-year-old Alexis Reyes Rivera was arrested (Thursday).

Police say both arrests came as the result of three-month investigations.

In Rapson’s case, police received an anonymous tip that he had been showing sexually explicit images of an underage girl he had on his cellphone.

The investigation into Reyes Rivera began when a JPD detective who was monitoring a law enforcement database noticed transfers of digital files that contained verified child pornography.

Both men had cellphones in their possession when they were arrested, and police say both contained depictions of child porn.

Rapson also faces a count of second-degree sexual assault of a child. Police say he admitted to having sexual contact with an underage girl.
