Janesville police are looking for a Janesville teen in connection with a Saturday shooting near Lincoln Elementary School.

Officers are asking the public to help locate 17-year-old Kenan Clemons, who is wanted on suspicion of attempted first-degree intentional homicide.

He is approximately six feet tall with short braided hair and a thin build, last seen wearing a dark colored sweatshirt and dark pants.

Police believe Clemons and another suspect were involved in shooting a male victim in the 1900 block of Conde Street just before 5:00 p.m. Saturday.

The two suspects are accused of then stealing the victim’s vehicle, which was located soon after in the 5100 block of Afton Road.

Witnesses reported seeing the two suspects steal a bicycle in the 700 block of Roosevelt Avenue. The resident, whose bike was stolen, followed the suspects to Conde Street, where he was shot multiple times with a handgun.

The victim was treated for life-threatening injuries at Mercy Hospital and police did not have an update on his condition as of Sunday afternoon.

Police also could not yet provide any other information about the second suspect.
