The city of Janesville reopens three of its popular water attractions and later the ice arena.

Lions Beach, the Riverside Park Splash Pad and the Town Square Bubbler are now available for public use, with added health and safety guidelines.

The city’s recreation division asks users to avoid large groups, practice physical distancing and stay home if anyone is feeling ill.

Recreation Director Shelly Slapak said her staff has been testing the water at Lions Beach since May, and it remains safe for swimming. No lifeguards or attendants will be on duty.

All three public spaces are back to their normal summer season and hours, which last through early September.

The city also plans to reopen the ice arena for small group rentals beginning Sunday.
