The victim in a Janesville shooting last month might be able to keep his arm after five surgeries so far.
Janesville police detective Justin Stubbendick testified Monday that doctors were “hopeful” the arm can be saved after Trenton Strommen was hit by multiple gun shots.
17-year-old Kenan Clemons is charged with attempted first-degree intentional homicide in the June 6 shooting, after Strommen confronted him about an alleged stolen bicycle.
During Clemons preliminary hearing in Rock County Court, detective Stubbendick said the severity of the injuries caused Strommen to suffer memory loss of the entire incident, but neighbors near Lincoln Elementary School witnessed the shooting.
Police have not been able to locate the gun used in the shooting, despite Clemons telling officers where he left it.
Clemons remains in custody in the Rock County Jail on a $50,000 cash bond.
