A big send-off is planned for a well known leader in Janesville’s non-profit service community. After 25-years of dedicated service as the Executive Director of ECHO, Karen Lisser is retiring at the end of the month. Under Lisser’s leadership, ECHO grew from a small grassroots organization started by local churches to an essential social service agency serving one in five Janesville residents. Lisser was also instrumental in helping ECHO achieve a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator the last five years. An open house is planned for Lisser Thursday from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the J.P. Cullen Memorial Pavilion.
