The Janesville Community Center and St. Patrick’s Church agree to a partnership that allows the non-profit to use the parish’s former preschool area.

Reverend Earl Sias of All Saints Anglican Church in Janesville is the director of the community center, which is a non-religious organization. He wants the physical location at St. Patrick’s to be a connection point between local service providers and those in need in the Fourth Ward Neighborhood.

His non-profit and several others have collaborated for multiple food giveaways throughout the summer at Fourth Ward Park, recently including bicycle and backpack donations for students going back to school.

Reverend Drew Olson from St. Patrick’s said the community center’s purpose aligns with his church’s mission to serve the community.

The goal is to support families in the area in order to strengthen the neighborhood and the greater community as a result.
