The suspect in a Beloit shooting from May leads police in Marathon County on a high-speed chase.
25-year-old Isaiah Evans was arrested late Wednesday morning just south of Wausau following the pursuit by at least five different law enforcement agencies in the area.
Police provided few details on the chase, but Marathon County Sheriff Scott Parks said Evans was located at a hotel in Weston, Wisconsin thanks to an investigation involving U.S. Marshals. The chase ended somewhere in the Schofield/Rothschild area.
Evans was wanted for attempted first-degree intentional homicide and three counts of first-degree recklessly endangering safety after police identified him as the suspect in the shooting of 37-year-old Denzen Jones in Beloit on May 16.
Officers also arrested 31-year-old Abby Jackson, who they described as “an accomplice” in the pursuit.
