Beloit Police are investigating a fatal shooting.

According to a Facebook post officers were called to the area of Park and Grand Avenues around 2:00 Saturday morning on the report of shots fired.

A 26-year-old female was transported to a local hospital after being shot and later died of her injuries.

A 32-year-old man received a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

Evidence collected from the scene indicates that many shots were fired.

The incident remains under investigation.
