A 29-year-old Janesville man is accused of starting his brother’s house on fire.

Janesville Police say officers were dispatched to a fire at a home on the 3300 block of Ruger Avenue around 7:30 Monday morning.

The resident told police that he had been having an ongoing dispute with his brother, Alexander Logue. The resident also reported that Logue said to tell police he did it and that he was armed and ready to shoot police who would arrest him.

Officers parked several blocs from Logue’s residence and arrested him when they saw him come outside. Logue had a loaded handgun in his possession at the time.

A search warrant of Logue’s home turned up homemade incendiary devices, road flares and other accelerants, as well as a long gun.

Logue is being held on suspicion of carrying a concealed weapon, arson, possession of Molotov Cocktails, and disorderly conduct.
