A 45-year-old Clinton man is under arrest in connection with a hit and run accident the injured two pedestrians in the town of Turtle.

According to a news release, just before 7:30 Saturday night, two people were crossing County X when an eastbound vehicle struck them and kept going.

The Sheriff’s office says the pedestrians sustained serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

An updated news release indicates that Sheriff’s deputies met with Michael S. Massa Tuesday afternoon and he indicated that he had struck something at the time of the crash. Massa’s vehicle had damage consistent with the crash and was seized as evidence.

Massa was arrested on two counts of felony duty upon striking a person, attended, or unoccupied vehicle.
