A 69-year-old Milton man dies in a weekend tractor accident.
The Rock County Sheriff’s Office said the victim had been driving a corn picker across an old concrete bridge over Otter Creek near County N when the tractor started to veer off of the bridge.
The man’s son brought a skid loader to try and pull the corn picker back up onto the bridge, but when the man put his tractor into reverse, a portion of the bridge gave way, and his picker rolled over.
Sheriff’s deputies arrived to find the man pinned against a grove of trees over the creek. He was pronounced dead a few hours later.
Police do not suspect foul play, but the final autopsy results are pending.
