Rock County Council on Aging Executive Director Paula Schutt says the holidays are often a good time to check up on the health and welfare of the elderly. Schutt says this holiday season will be like no other and potentially even tougher on those isolated by the pandemic. She strongly urges family members to be very aware of warning signs including weight loss, neglected hygeine, and a change in social habits. She suggests reaching out anyway possible if the fear of infecting an older member of the family is preventing an in person visit.
