A Janesville man faces two counts of possession of child pornography and could have more as police search through his phone.

35-year-old Shane Illbeck made his initial court appearance Wednesday, when a commissioner set a $1,000 cash bond.

Janesville police received a tip from a community member that Illbeck had child pornography on his phone.

He consented to officers looking through the phone, which turned up the illegal images.

Police also found messages Illbeck exchanged on the app Kik with sexual references to incest and children, according to the criminal complaint.

Detectives sent the phone to the state crime lab for further analysis, which could uncover more images and additional charges.
