The heavy snow fall Tuesday night is a welcome sight for Rock County snowmobilers.

Rock County Snowmobile Alliance Trail Coordinator Everett Reese says the trails opened at noon Wednesday afternoon.

Reese says snow depth varies from five to nine inches and riders can expect early season riding conditions until the groomers pass.

Reese says groomers have the right-of-way so snowmobilers should pull as far over on the trail as they can to let them pass.

The Whitewater Spur and the trail section between Snuffy’s and the City of Milton are closed.
