Beloit police are investigating a fatal crash from Sunday night.

Officers reported a vehicle was pulled over on Maple Avenue near Fourth Street in Beloit, where a man was changing a flat tire.

Police say another driver struck a vehicle that was pulled over to assist the man at around 8:30 p.m., and the crash pinned him between the two vehicles.

He was declared deceased at a local hospital soon officers, and officers arrested an unidentified 27-year-old female driver on suspicion of homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle.

Beloit police asked the public to avoid the area Sunday night as the investigation continued.
