A Beloit man faces a homicide charge for the overdose death of a man at a Lake Geneva motel.

33-year-old Adam Rogers is accused of selling the heroin that led to an unidentified 47-year-old man’s overdose on January 4.

Police were able to revive a 40-year-old woman who consumed the drugs with the victim, and she helped identify Rogers as the person who sold them the drugs.

Officers had her arrange another time to purchase drugs from Rogers, which police used to arrest him.

He is charged with first-degree reckless homicide and two counts of delivering heroin in Walworth County Court.

A court commissioner ordered him held on a $25,000 cash bond.
