Area communities are bracing for Monday night’s snowfall with winter weather emergencies.

The city of Janesville declared its emergency starting at 10:00 p.m. It does not have a specific end time and lasts until “snow and ice control operations are complete”

The city of Beloit’s snow emergency will start at 6:00 p.m. and run through Tuesday night at 8:00 p.m.

The Town of Beloit and city of South Beloit emergency declarations also start at 6:00 tonight.

In each municipality, cars are not allowed to be parked on the streets so plows can clear snow from curb to curb.

The city websites have lists of available designated parking lots.
