For the first time in the event’s history, the Beloit International Film Festival will not have a real person as honorary chair.

Executive Director Greg Gerard says beloved Beloit Snappers mascot, Snappy is beginning his farewell tour.

Gerard says Snappy will be on hand during the drive-thru reveal party on February 9th.

Gerard says the 16th annual event runs February 19th through the 28th.

Gerard says the BIFF honorary chair has been held by nationally prominent actors, directors, filmmakers and promoters of the arts. Snappy will succeed last year’s Beloit native, Stephanie Klett, in the role.
