The Wisconsin Department of Justice announces that the gun a Janesville man is accused of shooting a Janesville woman to death with in Wisconsin Dells has been recovered.

According to a news release, Wisconsin Dells Police were called to a hotel room to check on the welfare of two people just after 11:30 a.m. on Valentines Day. Jeremy Lee Mondy answered the door and indicated that he was okay but that a woman was deceased.

Mondy is currently being held in the Columbia County Jail on a $5 million cash bond.

The firearm was allegedly disposed of in the area and has since been safely recovered with ATF explosive detection K-9 assistance.
