A 16-year-old Orfordville girl dies in a single vehicle crash Thursday afternoon.

Rock County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a rollover on West County Trunk K near South Fossum Road at around 3:30 p.m.

Their investigation determined that the 17-year-old driver failed to properly navigate a curve and drove into a ditch.

The 16-year-old passenger was ejected from the vehicle as it turned over, and she was declared deceased on the scene.

The driver was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The sheriff’s office said neither was wearing their seatbelts during the crash.
