The demand for blood remains high after a full year into the pandemic and the Red Cross plans to help meet the need with several donation drives in Rock County this month. Communications Director Justin Kern says during this past year of uncertainty a number of first-time donors have showed up. He says one reason was an increased level of need, but another could be the Red Cross tests donated blood for COVID-19 antibodies. Donors can learn when and where a blood drive is being held in their community at redcrossblood.org.
