Lions Beach in Janesville is getting an upgrade.

Noon Lions Club Past President Steve Huth says the club is closing in on a century of service in 2022 and plans to donate a new shade structure to Lions Beach.

Huth says it will be a 30-foot hexagonal structure that will be able to fit about eight picnic tables underneath.

Huth says the club has already raised $10,000 toward the project which is expected to cost a total of $60,000.

Huth says the structural footings will be going in this fall with completion in the spring of 2022.
