The Rock County Sheriff’s Office shifts it’s search for a missing hiker from the ground to the water Thursday afternoon.

Sheriff Troy Knudson says 66-year-old Kevin Doyle remains missing but his two dogs were found deceased in the water of Bowers Lake.

Knudson says as a result, volunteers are no longer needed to search the area, and authorities are shifting their effort, using specialized equipment to search the water.

Doyle left his home at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday and was headed toward Storrs Lake with his two yellow Labrador retriever dogs, Ollie and Frank.

Doyle was expected home at 10:30 a.m. but never arrived. His vehicle was found still parked at Storrs Lake.

Doyle is described as being five feet, six inches tall and 170 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes, and a white mustache and goatee. He was last seen wearing a blue jacket and khaki pants.
