A jury finds both defendants in a Beloit triple-shooting case guilty of first-degree recklessly endangering safety as a party to the crime.

32-year-old Gregory Carter and 28-year-old Anthony Sims were on trial this week for the March of 2019 gunfire that killed 21-year-old Treron White and injured two others.

Prosecutors provided testimony from multiple witnesses that placed both Carter and Sims at the scene of the crime. Neither defendant chose to testify in their own defense.

The jury found Sims not guilty of an additional felony charge of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

He remains in custody, while Carter will have his bond revoked at 1:00 p.m. Friday.

Judge Barbara McCrory allowed him the extra time to work out plans for his ongoing treatment of cancer.

The two men will be sentenced on July 15.
