A local community takes center state on the country’s longest-running tourism television show.

Janesville Area Convention and Visitors Bureau Executive Director Christine Rebout says filming for the episode of Discover Wisconsin took place over the course of the last year.

Rebout says the episode talks about Janesville’s designation as a “Bird City USA”, the Robert O. Cook Memorial Arboretum, the downtown murals, foot golf at Blackhawk Golf Course, and Pickleball at Riverside Park.

Rebout says the episode airs at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday on WKOW and it’s also posted on YouTube and Facebook.
