U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin of Wisconsin say she was moved by a recent meeting with Hufcor workers in Janesville, who are at risk of having their jobs out-sourced to Mexico.  Baldwin says the predatory practices of private equity firms like Hufcor’s owner OpenGate Capital need to be stopped.  She says OpenGate either doesn’t understand the pain they will cause working families or simply doesn’t care, because all they see is profits.  The Democrat says more needs to be done to fundamentally reform the private equity industry and she plans to introduce legislation in Congress to do so.
