After just being announced at the new leader of Forward Janesville Thursday morning, incoming President and CEO Mike Osborne was injured in a motorcycle accident near his home in Illinois, WCLO has learned.

Forward Janesville released the following statement about 4:30pm on Thursday:

Dear Forward Janesville Members and Friends:

The Forward Janesville family was stunned to learn today that Mike Osborne was involved in a traffic accident Wednesday evening in Batavia, Illinois where he lives. The announcement of Mike’s selection as Forward Janesville’s next president appeared in the local press this morning. Forward Janesville Board Chair Tim Lindau is with Mike’s family.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Mike, his wife Kathie, and the entire Osborne family.

As of this posting, there has been no update as to the details of the accident or severity of injuries sustained by Mr. Osborne.
