The second jury trial begins Monday for a Janesville man charged with homicide.

24-year-old Julian Collazo is accused of stabbing 43-year-old Christine Scaccia-Lubeck to death in 2017.

Rock County Judge Barbara McCrory declared a mistrial in Collazo’s first jury trial in October of 2019 due to issues with a toxic jury.

The second trial was delayed multiple times due to the pandemic, but jury selection starts Monday morning for the case that is expected to last through at least the end of the week.

Collazo faces a sentence of life in prison if convicted by the jury.
