New cases of COVID-19 continue to trend in the wrong direction locally.
Rock County Public Health Department Epidemiologist Nick Zupan provided an update to members of the media Thursday morning.
Rock County is currently averaging about 21 new cases of COVID-19 a day.
Zupan says that rate is four times higher than two weeks ago.
Zupan says there are currently about 240 active cases in the community which is an increase of 100 since last week.
Zupan says over 51 percent of the Rock County population has received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while 48 percent are fully vaccinated.
