The Beloit Board of Education is looking to fill the vacancy that was left when Stephanie Jacobs resigned.

Board Secretary Michelle Shope says the deadline to apply is Friday.

Shope says interested candidates need to fill out a declaration of candidacy and school board applicant resume.

Shope says the person the board selects will serve the remainder of the term until April of 2022, when they would need to run for election to retain the seat.
