Janesville police were called to the 200 block of South Main Street about 10:00 p.m. Friday. Officers say they found a 38-year-old Janesville man lying in the street with what appeared to be a stab wound to his abdomen. The victim was taken to Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center for surgery. During the follow-up investigation, officers say they arrested 46-year-old Willie C. Jenkins of Janesville, who had fresh blood on his arm. Jenkins faces charges including First Degree Reckless Injury. Police say the two were known to each other.
