Visit Beloit announces an extension on the registration deadline for the Dream Job Competition being held in Beloit, WI on January 9, 2022.

According to a news release, with college students returning to campuses across the country, the need for additional registration time became apparent. Visit Beloit wants to maximize the ability for aspiring broadcasters to register for the event, so the deadline is now Friday, September 17 at 5:00pm.

All entrants will be eligible to showcase their broadcast skills in a unique competition to win a job in the press box at the brand-new $40 million ABC Supply Stadium. The stadium is home to the Beloit Snappers, High Class-A Minor League Baseball Affiliate of the Miami Marlins.

Registration for the event is $285 and includes entry into the Dream Job Competition as well as access to educational sessions and an industry job fair. Registration for the event is limited to the first 200 individuals to secure a spot at www.visitbeloit.com/symposium.

Programming will kick off on Friday, January 7 with a welcome reception. Education will get under way with a full day of breakout sessions, keynote speeches, and networking opportunities on Saturday, January 8. The final day of the event on Sunday, January 9 will be focused on a live job competition to win the broadcasting position. Immediately following the competition there will be a job fair for positions with sports teams and affiliated businesses.

Several professional broadcasters, including Joe Davis (LA Dodgers/FOX Sports), Mike Hall (BTN), Matt Lepay (Badger Sports Network/Learfield IMG College), Jeff Levering (Milwaukee Brewers/BTN/FOX Sports), and Elise Menaker (Big Ten Network/Marquee Sports Network), will be assisting with the event.
