A relatively new local organization is working to show support for a sometimes marginalized group, as well as educate the public.  Janesville Pride Executive Director Ali Lawson says an upcoming festival could go a long way to do both.  Lawson says Pride in the Park will be held in Janesville’s Lower Courthouse Park on October 9th, showcasing LGBTQ affiliated businesses, bands, support services and organizations.  She says more than one-thousand people have already expressed an interest on Facebook in attending.
