Banks aren’t the only ones pushing back against a proposal to report any transaction over $600 to the IRS.  First District Congressman Bryan Steil of Janesville describes the proposal by the Treasury Department as an invasion of privacy.  Steil calls it a gross abuse of federal power.  The Biden administration is suggesting the measure as a way to catch tax cheats.  It is being considered for inclusion in the $3.5 trillion budget reconciliation bill.
