The House of Mercy homeless shelter in Janesville has a little more money to operate thanks to the success of a recent fundraiser.  House of Mercy Charity Ball officials say this year’s event was the most successful in its history.  The September 18th gala at the Celtic House and related activities raised close to $160 thousand.  Over its 25-year history, the House of Mercy has provided shelter and support to more than eight-thousand individuals, half of whom were children.
