The Rock County Medical Examiner’s Office is releasing the name of the 67-year-old Beloit man who was killed in a weekend crash in the Town of Beloit.

According to a news release, Daniel R. Beeler’s vehicle hit a tree near the intersection of Paddock and Spring Creek roads, where a passerby found it and called police at around 11:15 Saturday night.

Beeler was pinned inside and later died at the hospital.

The Medical Examiner says preliminary results of the autopsy confirm that Beeler died from injuries sustained in the crash.
