The City of Beloit is updating it’s electoral ward boundaries after the county board of supervisors adopts a new tentative district map.
Interim Clerk-Treasurer Eric Miller says previously there were 25 wards, the new plan calls for 23 wards.
Miller says while there won’t be any changes to the polling places, the wards assigned to the different polling places may change.
The Beloit City Council held a first reading of an ordinance to repeal and recreate electoral ward boundaries Monday night.
