Political campaign war chests differ greatly for the two current candidates in Wisconsin’s First Congressional District Race. The election is more than a year away and one candidate appears to have a lot of catching up to do. As of the Federal reporting deadline at the end of last month, Republican Incumbent Bryan Steil of Janesville reported having $1.19 million cash on hand. Democratic challenger Ann Roe reported less than $40,000. Roe announced her campaign in July. Steil has been raising money since before his first successful campaign in 2018.
