A local State Senator continues to push back against Republican gerrymandering efforts.

Democrat Janis Ringhand of Evansville says the Governor will likely veto the maps the legislature is voting on next week.

Ringhand says she has been sponsor of a legislation to create a non-partisan redistricting commission every session since she was first elected to the legislature.

Ringhand says says voters overwhelmingly support non-partisan redistricting because they want to be assured that they are selecting their legislators and not the other way around.
