Motorists traveling on State Highway 81 near Beloit early next week may want to plan ahead.

The new State Highway 81 bridges over I-39/90 in Beloit will be closed from 8:00 Monday night until 5:00 Wednesday morning.

Wisconsin Department of Transportation Region Communications Manager Steven Theisen says crews ill be removing the temporary lane markings and install permanent pavement markings.

Theisen says motorists must use the signed detour route of Cranston Road and Gateway Boulevard to bypass the closure. The I-39/90 and WIS 81 interchange ramps will remain open for right turns only.

Theisen says during the closure, all I-39/90 ramps to I-43 will be open and will not be impacted.
