Janesville joins most larger school districts in the state in scoring lower than last year on the latest Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction district report cards.  Janesville Schools Public Information Officer Patrick Gasper says the district received a “Meets Few Expectations” ranking.  Gasper says the pandemic likely had a negative impact on scores through the effects of constant uncertainty regarding virtual or in-person learning.  He says recent efforts by the Janesville School District to drive improved student growth and achievement include restoring a curriculum cycle more inline with Wisconsin Academic Standards.
