Congressman Bryan Steil of Janesville suggests many of the social programs instituted over the last year or so may be prompting workers to leave their jobs. The First District Representative tells Your Talk Show on WCLO programs like the $300 a month child allowance have no work requirement. Steil says a recent study shows 1 1/2 million people have quit their jobs because of this program alone. He says programs like the earned income tax credit have been successful because they have an employment component. The Republican adds he has a problem with a number of the Build Back Better programs because they lack a work requirement.
