Bell-ringers in Rock County will set out with their red kettles this weekend.

Salvation Army Major Tom McDowell says kick-off events will take place in Janesville Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. at Festival Foods and Saturday 11:00 at Culver’s on Cranston Road in Beloit.

McDowell says to date only 11 percent of bell-ringing shifts have been filled.

This year’s red kettle campaign runs November 19th through December 24th excluding Sundays and Thanksgiving.
