A long-time Janesville business announces plans to close it’s doors for good.
According to a Facebook post, after 35 years in business, Book World of Janesville plans to cease operations by March.
The Facebook post cites difficulty competing with Amazon, a rise in shoplifting, and complications from COVID-19 putting a strain on the supply chain as reasons for the closure.
The store says customers should use up their gift cards by the last day in February.
As part of a close-out sale, magazines will be 10 percent off, books will be 40 percent off, and the discount section will be 75 percent off.
