Rock County will benefit from more than $6 million in Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity funding.  The Department of Transportation says the federal grant will help fund a project to repair and replace railroad bridge components.  The project will increase the life-span and capacity of five critical railroad bridges which directly connect seven Wisconsin counties to the Chicago terminal and beyond.  State DOT Secretary Craig Thompson calls the grants very competitive, and thanks U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin for her efforts as part of the Senate Appropriations and Commerce committees.
