A local minor league hockey team will share in the more than $14 million in American Rescue Plan Act grants awarded to sports teams, summer camps, and movie theaters by Governor Tony Evers this week.
Janesville Jets President Bill McCoshen says the team was awarded a little more than $151,000.
McCoshen says the last year-and-a-half has been tough on the minor league hockey team with restrictions last year on the number of fans at home games.
McCoshen says there currently aren’t any attendance restrictions at games and he’s eager to build the fan base back to where it was pre-pandemic.
